Hello everyone and welcome to…
The Monthly Seagull magazine! From front to back this helpful and informative magazine is packed with as much information about local businesses, their services, special offers, local events, interesting articles and competitions as possible. All of this AND it’s delivered straight to your door and distributed around the town centres of Hastings, Bexhill, St. Leonards and Little Common.
The Monthly Seagull is A5 in size, printed in vibrant full colour onto a high standard of sustainable material to withstand handling during door to door distribution. On the inside is informative advertising showcasing local businesses and their services, clubs and organisations, schools, local events and charities. Adverts are available at various sizes and you can book for single or multiple issues according to your budget and campaign. Advertising is available at various sizes to give every business large or small startups the opportunity to promote. Design, sizes and duration can be discussed and must be booked at least 2 days clear of the stated deadline to allow for the design and proofing process; design fees apply.
As well as colourful adverts there are informative targeted advertorials. Advertorials are an effective and professional way to convey your business to the reader through targeted copy, eye-catching photography and an accompanying advert to reinforce the message; if required. The accompanying advert is usually placed alongside the advertorial or adjacent pages. This is a popular method for promoting specialist services, products or if you are launching a new business. They are also well placed for specific events especially if they are seasonal. Advertorials are a guaranteed placement because they are paid for and premium pages such as the centre pages are an ideal spotlight for this kind of advertising.
All editorials are either written or researched by myself or a member of a carefully selected group of local authors. These articles are topical in nature, non promotional and non biased about any business, service or products. As well as being able to read them in the printed magazine they are also published in the free digital download.
For younger readers and their parents, carers, teachers who enjoy reading to their children, you can read about my son’s and my magazine mascot, ‘Sonny the Seagull’. Every month enjoy stories about his adventures, where he’s from, his characteristics and friends that he makes along the way. He’s a cheeky character and one that my son and I hope you will love as much as we have in creating him. Also for our younger readers, every month there is a picture to colour in and if they want to they can send it to us for the chance to win a little prize and have their colourful artwork displayed in the magazine and on the website. Each winning picture will be displayed with the their first name, age, the area that they’re from and a big well done for creative effort from us. This will give children the opportunity to have fun with colour and develop their artistic ability. All winning pictures are displayed in the colouring competition gallery.
At the back of every magazine is a listings section for local events and clubs. There is also a list of telephone numbers for the emergency services and vital helplines.
I truly hope that you enjoy reading and being a part of this magazine!
